On Saturday morning, the Nagyrét in Hűvösvölgy was buzzing with children, where Barca Academy Hungary held a public training session at its new training base. There was no shortage of interested parties, as the academy's Spanish and Hungarian experts gave more than 50 children a series of four introductory sessions, during which they were able to get a taste of the training they would receive if they joined the club. 

The children were very diverse, with Hungarian participants and representatives from many different nations. Polish, Dutch, Danish, Japanese and Mexican footballers were among the many to try their skills, and although the majority of the players were boys, there were also a good number of girls. 

"We are delighted that so many people came, as it shows the appeal of Barca and our academy. I have seen a number of talented children who we hope to welcome among our players soon. We have ninety players in our training centre, so we are already close to two thirds of our target number," said Martí Nadal Velasco, Barca Academy Hungary's Technical Director. 

"This weekend proves that our academy has reached a new level this year. We have moved forward again by providing training facilities to another region of Budapest, and the work is not stopping as we continue to expand our numbers. Therefore, we continue to welcome new applicants!" - added Balázs Farkas, CEO. 

In addition to the new training centre, Barca Academy Hungary is also looking forward to welcoming people to its two existing locations, Kánai and Fehér út.
