Joy Belongs to Everyone – Nearly 200 Children Joined the 4th Barca Mikulás Gala

On December 2, 2025, the Sport11 Arena once again filled with smiles and excitement as we hosted the 4th Barca Academy Hungary Mikulás Gala. This year, nearly 200 disadvantaged children from 23 towns and villages across multiple regions of Hungary joined us for this special holiday event.

The goal of the program remained unchanged: to share the simple yet powerful message that joy and the love of sport are for everyone. The children took part in playful, activity-based sessions led by our Spanish and Hungarian coaches, enjoying a day that offered movement, inspiration, and a sense of community.

The event was opened by Dr. László Imre, Mayor of Újbuda, and once again welcomed numerous role models who dedicated their time to the children — including former national team coaches, Olympic champions, sports leaders, and representatives of La Liga. Our distinguished guests not only encouraged the young participants throughout the day but also actively joined the gift-giving ceremony.

At the end of the event, every child received a Barça gift bag, including a water bottle, chocolate, and a Christmas storybook, adding a touch of festive magic to their holiday season.

Barna Balogh, CEO of Barca Academy Hungary, shared his thoughts: “We are incredibly happy to have organised our Mikulás Gala for the fourth time. Our aim is always the same — to give children an experience they will remember for a long time. We believe that the power of sport and community can inspire and offer real support in everyday life.”

For Barca Academy Hungary and the Barca Academy Hungary Foundation, the Mikulás Gala is more than just an event — it is a mission to bring the joy of sport, encouragement, and meaningful experiences to children who need it the most.
